Pet Signs: Announce Your Dog or Furry Creature

Go High, Light It Up, and Other Signage Tips for Your Next Expo

If you've rented a booth at a trade show, signs are likely going to play a big part in your display. Wondering what type of signage you should invest in? Take a look at these tips.

1. Focus on Multi-Use Signage

To optimise your budget, look into signs that can work at the expo but also in other situations. For example, a small sign that you place on your table at an expo should also work on the cash wrap at your retail location. Similarly, if you order signs for a single event, you may want to keep the text 'evergreen', meaning it isn't tied to a particular date, time, or place. That way you can use those signs at multiple conventions, trade shows, and other exhibitions.

2. Go High

Visibility is key at expos, and when you're grouped in with a bunch of other vendors, it can be hard to be noticed. Get attention by going high with your signs. If you're exhibiting at a venue where you are allowed to hang signage from the rafters, consider heavy duty canvas roll down signs with grommets so you can use rope or chains to hang the sign. For outdoor events or events where you aren't allowed to access the rafters, consider large life size signs. Those peak over the tops of other booths and offer more visibility than signs you hang from the pipe and drape around the booth.

3. Think About Portability

Hauling large displays to trade shows can get cumbersome, especially if you don't have a big staff to help you. To make things easier, think about portability when ordering signage for trade shows. Some sign shops sell retractable banner stands. These are flexible signs that roll up for transport and easily expand when you need to display them.

4. Light It Up

While exhibitors use all kinds of signs, the majority of vendors at most small events still tend to rely on banners and similar types of signs. Make an impression by investing in a sign that lights up. You can buy LED lit signs in all kinds of sizes with a range of designs, and you can change your message as needed for different events. These signs may take up a reasonable amount of space in a vehicle, but they are relatively lightweight and easy to move, which makes them great for expos and trade shows.
