Pet Signs: Announce Your Dog or Furry Creature

3 Reasons to Pick Neon Signs Over LED Signs

If you want an illuminated sign for your establishment, you will generally find yourself having to decide between LED signs and neon signs. It used to be that LED signs were unreliable, but advances in the technology have ensured that this is no longer the case. Be that as it may, there are still a whole host of advantages that come with using neon signs over LED signs, and here are just three.

1. Neon Signs Can Be Seen Easily from All Angles

One of the central advantages of using a neon sign instead of an LED sign is that neon signs create 360-degrees of light. This means that people will be able to see your sign equally well from all directions. In contrast, LED lightbulbs are directional, meaning that light will always be moving away from the bulb. This means that they will be more visible from certain angles. This will be a particularly important consideration if your sign is going to project outwards from your establishment inside of sitting flush against the wall, especially if your property is in quite a crowded environment.

2. Neon Signs Do Not Burn Out

One of the great things about using LED bulbs instead of filament bulbs is that LEDs will last much longer. However, LED bulbs will still burn out eventually, and this won't provide a very strong impression if used for signage. Since illuminated signs will often contain a lot of LED bulbs, it's quite likely that you'll notice burnt out bulbs showing up on an inconveniently regular basis. Neon signs are different. They do not burn out like bulbs because there is no filament, just an inert gas within a tube. It is true that neon tubes will dim over their lifetime; however, this occurs gradually, and it won't affect one part of the sign more visibly than another, so their appearance are kept uniform.

3. Neon Signs Offer Retro Style

Finally, neon signs offer a sense of retro style that LED signs have yet to replicate. Neon signs have been used for decades, so people generally respond warmly to their distinctive hum and style. LED bulbs might offer their advantages, but a business, particularly a bar or a club, that wants to stand out and create a cool appearance will generally want to use a neon sign instead of an LED sign, especially if they are trying to foster a more retro appearance.
